Donna M. Kshir is a child rights activist who is passionately working towards establishing a public child abuse registry in Pennsylvania. In addition to her activism, she is an accomplished author, publisher, podcaster, educator, and columnist, having been featured in over 50 publications. Donna’s mission is to seek truth and justice for children who have been exposed to abuse, and she is vocal in her writings and speeches against these injustices.

On September 4, 2024, Donna met with Laurie Ann Smith, Lee Cougardawn Roberts, and PA State Rep. Aaron Bernstine to discuss her proposal for the public child abuse registry. Rep. Bernstine expressed his enthusiasm for the idea, stating, "Yep. Absolutely, and I thank you once again for bringing it to our attention and allowing us to do the honor of picking up this mantle... to address these issues that will ultimately have a positive effect on so many kids and parents across this Commonwealth, that is imperative."

Donna has been instrumental in advocating for Conner's Law in Kentucky and co-founded Advocates United for Humanity, a child abuse awareness and prevention nonprofit organization based in Pennsylvania. She hosts several podcasts; her most recent is called The Women Like Me Podcast with Laurie Ann Smith. The two have been best friends and advocates since 2007.

She used her influence in the growth of gaining national support (serving as president) for Michigan nonprofit Dreamcatchers for Abused Children from April 1, 2008 - February 13, 2015. On January 1, 2009, Donna created, produced and hosted Dreamcatchers Talk Radio; Michigan's largest 24-hour child abuse internet radio educational network until she resigned in 2015 to become the face of Your Voice Radio's popular show, Two Nana's at Noon. She also used her influence in the growth of gaining national support for Conner's Law, making child abuse by murder a violent crime in Kentucky. Donna received a Letter of Recommendation from Conner's mother, Mashanna Bachuss, on December 5, 2019. She united with Erin's Law in 2013 and in June 2016 she and her best friend and sister advocate Lee Roberts co-founded Advocates United for Humanity. Donna is a member of the Nonfiction Authors Association, received the NNPAAW Award in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, and a 2016 and 2018, 2019 nominee of the Pinnacle Awards and the 2019 Diamond Quill Lifetime Achievement Award recipient.

On June 8, 2025, Donna announced her upcoming series of True Crime books under the pen name Ava Mae Reece. Through this series she collaborated with Laurie Ann Smith who writes under the pen name Abigail Emmet. Together, they have a media company called Ava Abigail.
