Protect Your Pet Campaign:
Cat carriers for pet safety:

I cannot stress enough the importance of having a cat carrier for the ride home when picking up your new addition. The carrier will also be necessary when taking them to the vet for shots and checkups. You should make the carrier one of your first purchases before picking up the new feline member of your family. This campaign will benefit the local shelter in Crestview, FL

"This was one of the most amazing moments of my life. I walked up to the fence and as I began to speak a few words in Cherokee this chestnut beauty got up from resting 15 feet away, buried it's face in my chest and hugged me!!!!!! It was pure joy♥♥ " Lee in Paso Robles, California, November 2010
There are so many organizations out there that fight to protect the rights of animals, fight for harsher laws that bring stronger sentencing for abusers and help bring awareness to to the plights of animals everywhere. This includes the innocent animals that are terrified and being used in experiments.

Please check out our resource list with more organizations that help animals live better lives HERE

Animals are like children. They don't have a voice to express when they are being abused or feeling pain.  We are both animal lovers and were raised in homes where you could always count on a handful of assorted critters included within the mix of family.

We know that violence against animals has been linked to a higher likelihood of criminal violence and domestic abuse.

It is our goal to help as many animals as we can. We encourage you to join us in our efforts to fight animal cruelty and neglect and be their voice today.

Lee was at the Crestview Animal Services grand opening and adoption event Saturday, August 20th. It was a huge success with 29 adoptions thanks to all the sponsors and those who made this day possible.

Below are just a few of the animals who were up for adoption.

UPDATE ON PUPPIES:
AUG 3, 2022 the sweet mama surprised Lee and brought her two very active babies to her. She brought them inside and set up in her bathroom which was the safest place for them. She gave them soft food and EBSILAC puppy milk replacement. They are very good eaters lol.

AUGUST 9th
The pups were picked up by Crestview Animal Control. They are going into the prison program at DJJ!!

The beautiful girl below is a new mama who had her pups on the other side of a chain link fence on property whose owner(s) is currently unknown. Lee has been caring for her until  the land owner(s) can be found. She contacted Crestview Animal Services and they have been actively seeking the property owner(s) so permission can be given to legally access the area to secure mama and her pups. Until then, Lee is making sure this nursing mom has access to good food and water, and lots of loving. She is a very affectionate girl.

Working with animals who are strays, have a history of abuse, neglect and/or abandonment issues can be very challenging yet very rewarding.

Lee Roberts, one of our founders, connected with an extremely skittish yet sweet hound a few years ago thinking he was simply loose and wandered away from his home. Roberts took photos and began sharing on social media in attempts to find out who he belonged to. No one responded. She continued to do what she could for him each time he came around. She made another attempt to find out more about the dog on social media in localized groups. Eventually a couple people replied to her post and photo. They said he was the "Community Pet" (seriously???) and he hung around on different porches and sometimes people fed him. Anger set in and Roberts dug her heels in deeper to working with this dog to connect on a level of trust where she could get him the proper care he needed and eventually a loving home. How heartbreaking it is that no one cared enough to help this poor boy out off the streets all this time.

Lee is working with this sweet boy, gaining his trust, and it is her desire to have this sweet dog in the shelter, get much needed vet care and then into a foster home before extreme weather hits the area again.
